Re-elect Tim O’Hare

Re-elect Tim O'Hare

DEDICATED – RELIABLE – RESPECTED

  • Continue to build a safer, healthier community where everyone has a voice and is WELCOME
  • Support more affordable housing opportunities
  • Growing our age-friendly initiatives in Thorold
  • Invest in steps to create a greener city for our kids
  • Modernize infrastructure without burdening residents with heavy tax increases

These aren’t dreams.

For me, these are goals.

What Fred Neale says:

“Tim is a person who researches the issues to make informed decisions, whether it is environmental, housing or community betterment issues. I will be pleased to vote for Tim O’Hare for Thorold City Council”

“Each year, budget time is very challenging.  As your Councillor I will continue to make the tough decisions, balancing infrastructure improvements, resident’s needs and wish lists with a strong respect for you, the taxpayer”.

“Let’s unlock underutilized lands and work with external agencies to build much needed affordable housing.”

“The province has made an attempt at amalgamation. I would fight tooth and nail to ensure that Thorold’s identity, history and right to govern ourselves remains intact”.

~ Thorold City Councillor, Tim O’Hare

Tim’s Work on Council

Tim understands that openness, inclusion, diversity, and education creates better and stronger opportunities for everyone in Thorold and the Niagara Region. He has worked on several committees…

Age-Friendly Committee

Age Friendly

Our Age-Friendly community in Thorold is strong! As the council representative for Age-Friendly, I will continue to vote for initiatives that keep our 50+ residents active, healthy and involved.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee

As a straight white man, I might not look like a champion of diversity. But, to me, discrimination of any kind is unacceptable, be it based on gender, race, sexual orientation or religion. I stand fully behind the concerns of the Indigenous community, immigrants, the LGBTQ community and women’s groups.

Environment, Climate Change, and Biodiversity Advisory Committee

Thorold has too little green space and an insufficient tree canopy. We need to do our part to offset the climate crisis. We need to protect Thorold’s mature tree growth wherever possible. We must ensure that new developments contribute their part to offset the climate crisis through greenspace addition, tree canopy investment and the installation of playgrounds and park areas.

Heritage Advisory Committee

Heritage Thorold

I work towards preserving heritage buildings and sites. The history of Thorold is really important and I’ve found that I have fallen in love with this city’s heritage! We must preserve whatever we can, even as we build this city to become more resilient and diverse.

Thorold Museum Board

Museum Board Work

The Museum work provides vital community impact by helping tell the story of Thorold. We have waited a long time to establish a museum for our city. Thorold’s amazing story, heritage and history will soon have a home in our historic downtown!
